Amazon Prime

Amazon Prime made waves in 2023 by backing daring and distinctive series led by Black women. SWARM, created by Donald Glover and Janine Nabers, was a bold, genre-blending psychological thriller that examined parasocial fandom, obsession, and identity through a uniquely Black feminist lens. HARLEM returned with more heart, humor, and sharp cultural insight in Season 2, continuing to celebrate friendship, love, and career journeys among four dynamic Black women. Amazon showcased an inclusive range of tone, style, and storytelling.
